Dental care
The teeth are vital for sound health .A set of clean and disease free teeth are everybody's desire. But unfortunately, we do not take proper care for our teeth. A proper diet, right chewing, regular brushing can make the teeth healthy. A beautiful smile is nothing but opening of white and clean teeth.
Your diet should be of such component, which is chewable. More and more chewing makes the teeth stronger. Too much of daily drinks which require no chewing leaves the teeth idle and thereby it gradually weakens. Keep the teeth functional. The more you chew, the stronger will be your teeth. Do not keep them idle. Among the liquids, take plenty of clean water only. Consumption of too much of soft drinks would, in fact, ruin your health. The sweet component of the drinks is not at all good for the teeth.
Brushing of teeth is mandatory for keeping them healthy. After every heavy meal, especially lunch and dinner, brushing of the teeth is required. All food particles, which are stuck in the teeth, should be cleaned. But too much brushing is bad, since it eats the enamel of the teeth making them weak.
Instead of using plastic brush available in markets, use neem brunch as brush. The neem juice is good for the teeth, gums and digestion. The brushing also should be done in proper manner. Many of us do not know the proper way of brushing. The brush, be it plastic or neem branch, should be held in 45 degree angle. And the brush should move from up to down and vice versa.
The teeth uncared develop bacteria called plaque. Plaques, if allowed to stay on the teeth for more than twenty-four hours, they organize harmful enzymes. If plaques are removed by brushing of the teeth after every heavy meal, enzymes cannot be formed on the teeth and thereby the teeth are saved from diseases.
In case your teeth develop bacteria and you have cavity or pyorrhea, there are natural treatments. Do not rush for dental surgeons to remove your decaying tooth. These days' doctors also do not encourage removal of teeth. They prefer treatment. But the best treatment is natural treatment.
Before going for any treatment, you require painkillers. Do not take any over the counter painkillers as those create indigestion, headache and other physical problems. Instead, use clove oil on the aching tooth and the pain would vanish. Sometimes, hot water creates pain when the gum in between two teeth is open to food. In such circumstances, do not take cold water or cold drinks. Sometimes cold water creates pain. Avoid cold water in such a situation.
Iodized salt is also a good painkiller. Apply salt soaked in boiled water on the aching tooth; there would not be any pain. A mixture of mustard oil and iodized salt, if kept on the aching tooth, the pain vanishes. One can also brush teeth with this paste for having healthy teeth. This is an Ayurvedic prescription used by many Indians in the rural areas. And we know, the rural people have less tooth problems than their counterparts in the towns and cities.
As for treatment, first stop taking sweets as those generate and hold fast the plaques more vigorously than other food. Extensive use of Indian dry fruit Haritaki help strengthens the teeth and prevents tooth decay. Rubbing of muster oil with a little bit of iodized salt on the gums gives cool comfort as the salty paste removes harmful bacteria and enzymes.
