Nails are the waste products of the bones. Good, smooth, soft rosy nails are reflections of sound health. To keep them in order, proper care and treatment are necessary. Smooth nails are objects of beauty. Men and women who seek to be beautiful always maintain good nails, both in hands and feet.

There are several forms of nail disorder. Nails may be flaky and splitting. They may have white or black spots on them. Nails sometimes overgrow. They become hard and sometimes brittle. Sometimes they become so rocky that it is hard to cut them. Unhealthy nails lose natural color and become stony black.

Improper diet is the root cause of bad nails in a human body. Your diet should be balanced. It must have a lot of calcium in it to keep the nails in good health. Instead of taking calcium tablets, people should take calcium from food.

Consumption of over the counter tablets may have bitter side effects. But calcium taken from food is not risky as the body takes that much of calcium from food it requires. Extra calcium is set apart as body wastes. And in this manner the body maintains its calcium balance.

Your launch and dinner dishes should have adequate amount of leafy vegetables, Dairy products such as milk, curd, sweets and butter and fish. You need not worry over their amount, as the body would not take more than necessary. Sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, nuts and dried fruits are also good for sound nails.

Attention should be paid to the diet that it has vitamins, minerals and enzymes. Broccoli and onion are rich in silicon, which are good for nails. Drinking of plenty of water also causes growth of sound nails. Fruit juices are also good. Vitamin A, B, C, B12, and zinc are required to have good nails. The diet should have food rich with these two elements. Lack of folic acid, hydrochloric acid and protein in food is harmful for smooth growth of nails.

The extra energy you generate from food would be used up if you practice light physical exercises and some manual labor daily. You may take up gardening,, washing of household items, sweeping of floors besides morning and evening walks Sedentary life style causes several diseases including diabetes, breathing problems, cardiovascular problems besides making a person overweight. Once you become an obese, the charm of life would go. Not that you look ugly, but you shall fall prey to several fatal ailments.

You should frame your daily works in such a schedule that it draws a balance between manual and cerebral activities. Overwork triggers fatigue and other related disorders. A Balance should be struck in all the daily work so that it neither becomes triggers fatigue for massive manual work nor turns into easygoing no-physical activity life style.
